GEORGIA – October 16, 2017 – University of Georgia’s (UGA) Athens campus added a ReadyCam® Studio to raise the visibility of its faculty experts.
ReadyCam Studio now provides UGA with broadcast-quality video for live and recorded media interviews and facilitates other video productions.
The in-house broadcast studio is fully equipped with a PTZ camera, broadcast-quality audio and lighting, an electronic backdrop and IP-based transmission. Because of this, the studio can be operated remotely by engineers at one of several VideoLink operations centers. For that reason, there’s no need for UGA to have technicians on-site.

Marshall Shepherd
Georgia Athletic Association Distinguished Professor
Shepherd is a leading international expert in weather and climate. He is sought by national and international media to comment about current weather emergencies, such as the devastation surrounding Hurricane Harvey. His primary research involves the impact of cities on weather, societal and policy impacts of weather and climate, as well as precipitation extremes and climate vulnerability. He is a former NASA scientist and president of the American Meteorological Society. In addition, he writes about weather issues for Forbes magazine and is a host of “Weather Geeks” on The Weather Channel.
Cham Dallas
University Professor of Public Health and Director of the Institute for Disaster Management
Dallas is a world-renowned expert on the medical and public health aspects of nuclear warfare. He can provide insight on North Korea’s nuclear weapons program and the potential consequences of a nuclear attack. Dallas has created nuclear war casualty simulations that have been published in scientific journals for the following cities for both H-bombs and Hiroshima-sized bombs: New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Houston, Los Angeles, Tehran and Tokyo.
Diane Marie Amann
Emily & Ernest Woodruff Chair in International Law
Amann is a widely published legal expert. She can comment on issues ranging from children and armed conflict to refugee and asylum law. She is a renowned expert in constitutional law, international law, human rights law, national security law and federal criminal law.
