In an effort to enhance the quality and frequency of its external video communications, The University of Colorado Boulder is adding VideoLink’s ReadyCam on-site television studio system to its campus.
The ReadyCam provides CU Boulder with broadcast-quality video for live and recorded media interviews and facilitates other video productions.
“This new feature will connect news organizations to some of the world’s foremost academics and experts from space and climate science to medical discoveries and business,” said Candace Smith, CU Boulder’s Assistant Vice Chancellor of Strategic Media Relations. “We look forward to working with broadcasters around the world.”
Fully equipped with an HD camera, broadcast-quality audio and lighting, an electronic backdrop and IP-based transmission, the in-house broadcast studio is operated by engineers at one of several VideoLink operations centers remotely, eliminating the need for CU Boulder to have technicians on-site.
Here’s a select list of available CU Boulder experts:
- Steven Presser and William A. Allen can speak to voting rights, civil rights, impeachment and constitutional theory. Presser and Allen are Visiting Scholars in Conservative Thought and Policy. Presser is a legal historian who has testified before the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, including the events surrounding Bill Clinton’s impeachment hearings. Allen has served on the U.S. Commission on Civil rights, and he is an expert on the history of the American identity.
- Stefanie Johnson, associate professor of business, is an expert on #MeToo and business inclusivity.
- Phil Larson, assistant dean and chief of staff at the College of Engineering and Applied Science is a world-renowned expert on commercial and public space travel.
