Newton, MA, January 26, 2015 – AFL-CIO has partnered with VideoLink to install an on-site HD video studio in their office in Washington, DC. The ReadyCam® studio allows the organization to record video and respond to media requests without leaving the office. It is remotely controlled by VideoLink video experts, and transmits HD video over the internet to anywhere around the world using VideoLink’s EnhancedIP™ network
The AFL-CIO is composed of 56 unions representing 12.5 million working men and women. Just days after their ReadyCam installation, the communications team at AFL-CIO turned to VideoLink to help them record and produce a video commentary piece in response to the breaking news in Ferguson, Missouri. The ReadyCam on-site video studio enabled them to quickly and effectively comment on the big news story. The studio system also allows the experts at AFL-CIO to accept live TV interview requests at a moment’s notice.
