Local Broadcasting Firm Provides 24/7 Coverage of Presidential Candidates

Senator Barack Obama brought his presidential campaign to VideoLink’s Newton, MA studio this morning, doing a series of television interviews with the national networks and local affiliates in Super Tuesday primary states around the country.  In less than three hours, Senator Obama did 18 interviews at VideoLink, which uplinked the feed to the networks and stations via satellite.  The interviews were seen on the Today Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, CNN programs, and many others. The entire event was put together in less than 24 hours by VideoLink, which routinely hosts politicians, talking heads and other notable personalities at its multiple studios in Massachusetts, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

VideoLink will remain busy throughout the remainder of Super Tuesday hosting Massachusetts Senators John Kerry and Edward Kennedy for multiple interviews as well as Governor Deval Patrick at both of our Boston area locations.  In addition, VideoLink will be the broadcast choice for Mike Barnicle on MSNBC and Ed Schultz on CNN’s Election Center, as well as international networks such as TV Tokyo and the Middleeast Broadcasting Network.

Out in the field, our fleet of satellite trucks including our high-definition uplink vehicle, provided transmission services for yesterday’s rallies for Senator John McCain’s supporters at Faneuil Hall and Senator Obama’s supporters along with Major Garrett at the Seaport World Trade Center, both for FOX News Channel.  Rounding out the primary coverage tonight are our satellite trucks scheduled for uplinks after the polls close for Senator Hillary Clinton for Fuji TV in New York and Governor Mitt Romney’s deliverance of his speech from Boston for HDNews and FOX News Channel.

VideoLink has a long history of providing studios and broadcast services for primary and electoral coverage.  In 2004, VideoLink was at the Democratic National Convention in Boston and opens its insert studio facility in Manchester during every presidential primary season to provide a full suite of services to national broadcasters in the area for the New Hampshire Primary.  The Manchester studio remains open for studio productions at this time.
